Who is this tour for
This tour takes you on a 6-day journey to the stages of the Dakar Rally into the Emtpy Quarter.
After a rest day and two nights in Riyadh, we follow the Dakar into the Empty Quarter.
An incredible adventure in one of the most beautiful regions of Saudi Arabia. Racers agree that the Empty Quarter is probably the most beautiful and challenging part of the rally after the North.
A unique adventure with the comfort and safety of an off-road vehicle such as a Toyota Landcruiser, HiLux, or similar.
Visits to the Dakar Bivouac
The Dakar's rest day is a fantastic opportunity to watch the teams prepare their vehicles for the second leg of the rally. The effort involved is incredible; the vehicles are completely dismantled and rebuilt – no compromises on the toughest and most prestigious rally in the world.
The Dakar offers accredited individuals access to selected bivouacs as part of a guided VIP tour. Ride Xpower Tour participants are automatically accredited. Tickets for access and the VIP tour are not included in the tour price and can be ordered through Ride Xpower, available in December before the rally.
The day ticket costs approximately €350 and can be ordered through Ride Xpower. The number of participants is limited, so booking early is recommended.
For detailed information and availability, please contact us before the tour begins; experience has shown that the organizers release ticket information very late.
The Empty Quarter
The Empty Quarter is the world's largest sand desert and home to Saudi Arabia's oil and water reserves.
Race drivers love this stretch of road for its high, yet easily navigable dunes and endless expanse.
This year, the Dakar route runs through the western part from north to south and then heads west in a marathon stage.

The Dakar Rally kicks off the second leg of the Dakar with a super-long stage.
We also set off very early and drive a good portion of the 700 km into the Empty Quarter. Participants with enduro and buggies use the shuttle, while 4x4 and adventure bikes drive the route themselves.
We meet up with the Dakar Rally shortly before the end of the stage and witness the finish line live.
In the evening, we set up camp, where we will stay for the next two nights while the Dakar Rally completes a loop stage.
Overnight stay at the desert camp; breakfast, lunch snacks, dinner, drinks, and water are provided at the camp.
We can approach this stage a little more relaxed since we're returning to the same camp.
We're at the start, trying to reach a refueling or activity point on the loop. This day is ideal for a dune adventure with driving practice in the sand.
Sunset on a dune is on the agenda for this day.

The two-day marathon stage of the Dakar gives us the opportunity to cover the 300 km from the Empty Quarter largely off-road, and also to find the best spectator points and do some off-roading the next day until the rally arrives. The area around Bisha has great desert tracks.
Overnight at the desert camp; breakfast, lunch snacks, dinner, drinks, and water will be provided at the camp.
Good by Dakar Rally and Saudi Arabia. Departure from Bisha Airport.
