Who is this tour for
This tour takes you on a 6-day journey to the start of the Dakar Rally and to the famous Al-Ula.
After three days in Yanbu, where we watch the start of the Dakar, we drive to Al-Ula, where the rally camps for two nights before the marathon stage to Hail begins.
An incredible adventure in one of the most beautiful regions of Saudi Arabia. Racers agree that the north, along with the Sea of Dunes in the Empty Quarter, is the most beautiful and challenging part of the rally.
A unique adventure with the comfort and safety of an off-road vehicle such as a Toyota Landcruiser, HiLux, or a similar vehicle.
Visits to the Dakar Bivouac
The Dakar allows accredited individuals access to selected bivouacs as part of a guided VIP tour. Ride Xpower tour participants are automatically accredited.
The day ticket costs approximately €300 and can be ordered through Ride Xpower. Admission is limited and should be booked well in advance.
For detailed information and availability, please contact us before the start of the tour; experience has shown that the organizers post ticket information very late.
The famous Al-Ula
The Elephant Rock, as well as the Hegra tombs, the sandy valleys, the old town, and the viewpoint high above Al-Ula are must-sees for every Saudi traveler.
The sunset at Elephant Rock and the nearby rock hole provide a wonderful backdrop for your travel reports.
Maximum Dakar
The rally stays in Yanbu for three days and in Al-Ula for two days. This gives us the opportunity to see much of the rally without having to cover the long distances of normal stages, which are usually 4-500 km long and run in a nearly straight line.
The area around the Red Sea around Yanbu and the north around Al-Ula are among the most beautiful in Saudi Arabia.
Our general terms and conditions apply. This tour requires a 50% deposit and the rest is due 90 days before the tour starts.

You'll fly to Yanbu, pick up your 4x4, and drive to your first desert camp in the sand outside of Yanbu. The drive takes approximately 1 hour. You'll be greeted by your tour guide and briefed on the itinerary. Overnight at the desert camp, breakfast, lunch snacks, dinner, drinks, and water will be provided at the camp.
We'll meet the Dakar Rally drivers either at the start of the prologue or at spectator points. Participants who book a ticket for the bivouac will attend the drivers' introduction in the morning and then head to the prologue action. Overnight at the desert camp, breakfast, lunch snacks, dinner, drinks, and water will be provided at the camp.
The Dakar Rally is entering its first stage, which will be held on a circuit around Yanbu. The racers will return to the same bivouac in the evening. The race is on.
We will set up our camp so that we can watch the start of the first stage live and chat with the racers at the start. Overnight accommodation in the desert camp; breakfast, lunch snacks, dinner, drinks, and water will be provided at the camp.
This stage of the rally takes us from Yanbu to Al-Ula.
We'll be there at the start and try to reach a fuel point or action point along the way. After a very long stretch of this stage in a nearly straight line, we'll drive on the road to Al-Ula and arrive roughly at the same time as the racers.
In Al-Ula, we'll set up our next desert camp. Hotels in Al-Ula are very rare and either not very good or have high prices and are located far away.
On this day, sunset at Elephant Rock is a good option; we'll decide this depending on our schedule and weather conditions.
Overnight at the desert camp; breakfast, lunch snacks, dinner, drinks, and water will be provided at the camp.
The loop in Al-Ula gives us time to either watch the rally at the start, action points, and stage finish, or to use the day to explore the famous Al-Ula and take photos for Instagram and other social media. We'll decide that as a group.
Overnight at the desert camp; breakfast, lunch snacks, dinner, drinks, and water will be provided at the camp.
Good by Dakar Rally and Saudi Arabia. Departure from Al-Ula International Airport.
