A rich history with many oriental secrets. Tunis is an Arabian metropolis, the Sahara has the most beautiful sand in the world – perfect for Enduro riders, and, not many people know, the first Star Wars episodes were filmed here.

Enchanting Tunis

The old town of Tunis with its great hidden restaurants and markets is the ideal introduction to this enchanting country.

Star Wars is alive

The first part of this Enduro journey takes us to Luke Skywalker.

Visit where Princess Amidala and Anakin first met, see the courtyard where Anakin built his pod racer, and drive through the Star Wars Canyon where the famous Pod Race took place. Visit the best of the 16 Star Wars locations and visit the original filming locations of the first three episodes of this worldwide and still-recently successful film.

Smashing Dunes

The second part of this enduro trip takes us to the Sahara, the desert with the best sand and incredible light reflections.

Tunisia offers spectacular landscapes and showcases the Sahara, one of the most incredible regions in the world. A very tourist-friendly country, Tunisia is also one of the safest in the region.

On this tour you get the max riding in dunes.

On this tour you will experience the best of dune riding and the most authentic desert camp stays.

Difficulty level

This tour is exactly the Enduro riding and dune bashing experience you are looking for as advanced Enduro rider. You will visit the Star Wars locations and ride after straight into the dunes and bashing them until you fall off the bike or you run out of fuel. The only limit is your gas tank.

 
Less experienced riders - don't worry, we have easy tracks for you and our tour guides will introduce you to dune bashing step by step. 

You are always close to the service vehicle, a 4x4 pickup with an experienced local, and make a short stop at the camp for a lunch snack. This gives you the opportunity to relax in the camp in the afternoon while the others bash the dunes until sunset.

Authentic Sahara Camps

After spending the first part of the tour in typical Tunisian hotels, you will be overwhelmed by the nights spent under the open starry sky in our Sahara camps.

The tour will occur in stages day-to-day, meaning we will spend four nights in an authentic Sahara camps, one we will build by ourselves. Dining on handmade food cooked by locals and nomads from the region prepared in front of us on the open fire in the desert. The last night in the Sahara we spend in a newly built camp with concrete tents, a good shower and a restaurant. On the second night we camp near the so called "Lost Lake" where you can bath in the warm water.

Off the Grid

Once we are deep into the Sahara, we will officially be "off the grid" - outside the range of any mobile network and away from civilization, leaving us to manage on our own. We'll spend three days in the desert forgetting all things we think that are important and we may not miss, like Facebook and Instagram, E-mails and calls. 

During this time we'll have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience being virtually alone among the dunes of the Sahara, at peace and removed from the modern world.

Airport and Transfer

Airport for arrival is Tunis and Djerba for departure . You will be picked up at the gate and shuttled back.

Our general terms and conditions apply. This tour requires a 50% deposit and the rest is due 90 days before the tour starts. 

You fly to Tunis Airport, from where we take you to a hotel in the old town. 

The tour manager will be waiting for you at the hotel to welcome you and give you an introduction to the tour. City tour to the old town and dinner together in an Orientalic restaurant.

Transfer to the starting point of the Enduro tour (approx. 5 hours). Afternoon taking over of the bikes and short Warm UP ride to get used of bike and terrain.

Enduro ride to where all Star Wars started. Anakin Skywalker grew up in a slave quarter. Visit of the location where Episode One was filmed. Overnight in a hotel.

 Enduro ride to where Star Wars was going on. Overnight in a hotel. 

More filming locations on a nice Enduro Bike ride. Overnight in a hotel.

Riding over the big salt lake to Douz the gate to the Sahara. Getting ready for the ride to the big dune at the forgotten Lake. Overnight in a hotel.

We leave Douz and enter the Sahara. First day of basing dunes. Overnight in a desert camp in the Dunes.. 

Please reduce your luggage to a 60L drybag and leave you main luggage in the hotel in Douz to where we will return on the last riding day.

Day 2 of bashing dunes until the fuel tank or your body is empty. Overnight in a desert camp at the "Lost Lake" where you can swim in the warm watter. Dinner in the camp.

The Grand Dune at the Forgotten Lake. Overnight in a our self made camp. 

Riding out of the Sahara to Tatouine where we will visit more filming locations before we liave Tunisia. Overnight in a hotel. Debriefing and Good Bye.

Transfer in the morning to Djerba airport. Good ByeTunisia.
