Tunisia offers spectacular landscapes and showcases the Sahara, one of the most incredible regions in the world. A very tourist-friendly country, Tunisia is also one of the safest in the region.

On this tour you will experience the best of dune riding and the most authentic desert camp stays.

Difficulty level

This tour is exactly the dune bashing experience you are looking for as advanced Enduro rider. You will ride straight into the dunes and bashing them during 5 full days until you fall off the bike or you run out of fuel. The only limit is your gas tank.

 
Less experienced riders - don't worry, we have easy tracks for you and our tour guides will introduce you to dune bashing step by step. 

You are always close to the service vehicle, a 4x4 pickup with an experienced local, and make a short stop at the camp for a lunch snack. This gives you the opportunity to relax in the camp in the afternoon while the others bash the dunes until sunset.

Authentic Sahara Camps

The tour will occur in stages day-to-day, meaning we will spend three nights in an authentic Sahara camps we build by ourselves. Dining on handmade food cooked by locals and nomads from the region prepared in front of us on the open fire in the desert. The last night in the Sahara we spend in a newly built camp with concrete tents, a good shower and a restaurant. On the second night we camp near the so called "Lost Lake" where you can bath in the warm water.

Off the Grid

Once we are deep into the Sahara, we will officially be "off the grid" - outside the range of any mobile network and away from civilization, leaving us to manage on our own. We'll spend three days in the desert forgetting all things we think that are important and we may not miss, like Facebook and Instagram, E-mails and calls. 

During this time we'll have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience being virtually alone among the dunes of the Sahara, at peace and removed from the modern world.

Airport and Transfer

Airport for arrival and departure is Djerba. On arrival we shuttle you from Djerba to Douz, the gate to the Sahara where we spend the first night. On the departure day we shuttle you in the morning back to Djerba. Shuttle time fromDjerba to Douz approx. 3 hours in a comfortable coach.

Explore Tunis

Tunis is an Arab metropolis and definitely worth a visit. We recommend arriving a day early and visiting the old town for an authentic dinner before travelling comfortably to Djerba the next day.

Our general terms and conditions apply. This tour requires a 50% deposit and the rest is due 90 days before the tour starts. 

You fly to Djerba airport, from where we take you to Douz. The transfer is scheduled for 4 p.m. and takes about 3 hours. The shuttle schedule is adapted to the flight schedule of the participants.

The tour guide will be waiting for you at the hotel in Douz to welcome you and give you an introduction to the tour. You will pick up the rental bikes and have dinner together at the hotel.

We leave Douz and enter the Sahara. Day 1 of basing dunes. Overnight in a desert camp in the Dunes.. Dinner in the camp.

Please reduce your luggage to a 60L drybag and leave you main luggage in the hotel in Douz to where we will return on the last riding day.

Day 2 of bashing dunes until the fuel tank or your body is empty. Overnight in a desert camp at the "Lost Lake" where you can swim in the warm watter. Dinner in the camp.

Day 3 of bashing dunes until the fuel tank or your body is empty. Overnight in a desert camp. Dinner in the camp. 

Day4 of bashing dunes for the third day in a row and return to the desert camp. Dinner in the camp. 

Day 5 of basing dunes and out of the Sahara back to Douz. Overnight in a hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Debriefing and Good Bye.

Transfer in the morning to Djerba airport. Good ByeTunisia.
